High_Self-Esteem_in_ChildrenSelf-esteem is an overall view of the individual about himself. Build self-image usually begins in childhood and is highly dependent of what he had heard about him from others.

So, if a child during his lifetime to hear praise, motivation, and constructive criticism, then most likely the child will develop into a good person and have a sense of high self-esteem.

 

On the other hand, if the children are always criticized, abused and never given credit for small feat that he can, the children tend to grow into a person who lacks self-confidence.

Building the personality of a child normally starts from the home environment. Individual's personality begins to form in childhood, so that parents have a great responsibility in forming the child's self esteem.

* Be a good listener: In the midst of today's modern life, parents often difficult to take the time to their children. No matter how busy, mandatory for you to share time with the kids every day. Leave all your work, sit down and talk with your child as you talk with adults.
* Praise Your Child: Your child may come to you to demonstrate a skill or test results obtained at the school. Give praise to your child about his work, but do not overdo it.

* Do not compare: Parents often compare one child with another child or a neighbor with the intent that your child can change and become like you'd expect. However, this is not the right way because it can lead to the formation of low self-esteem in children is concerned.
* Do not criticize too harsh: harsh criticism that always brings adverse outcomes. If you want to criticize, do it with words that are smooth and not to offend him.
* Be an example: The children are generally not very much considering the advice of their parents. But they tend to observe the behavior and attitudes. So, give a good role model to your children.
