workAccording to a poll conducted by the Gallup.com site, many workers in America who are uncomfortable with their work. Even more surprising, this discomfort is not due to salary issues, or old and working days, but about the type of work they do.

Based on research conducted at Harvard Business School, doing meaningful work and making much progress in the work can make people feel happy at work. They are happy to have many new ideas and much more creative. Conversely, employees who do not enjoy the job can be bad for the employee or the company itself.

"When people do not care about the job or their boss, they would often absent, is not productive, and have a poor quality job," said Teresa Amabile, a professor from Harvard.

Teresa and fellow researcher, Steven Kramer, have been experimenting with collecting approximately 12,000 copies of an electronic diary of 238 employees in seven different companies. Teresa found that one-third of respondents are not happy with their work, not motivated to work, and feel both of these things. Worse, employees often feel disgusted with their work.

Regardless of what companies do to you, as your workers should also try to love your job. There are various ways you can do to it:

1. Having a clear purpose. Bosses must provide the goals to be achieved in the work. Understand the reasons you work. Try this purpose only in the short term and could be achieved, not making this up. First, try to clarify your own goals with the information you have. "Then, find a way to get clarity from your boss. The purpose of work can help you to more energized and focused at work," said Teresa.

2. Work independently. Some people need the freedom to achieve their objectives in the work. If your job requires you to work in teams, try to think creatively in accordance with your idea, do not easily influenced by others. However, this does not mean that you should not ask for help from others when you need it.

3. Complete with facilities. It is highly related to the ability and creativity. Quite often, limited resources can cause a person to feel frustrated at work. First step, try to think creatively and find ways to be able to finish the job with the resources available.

4. Determine the "deadline". The deadline for the work is a natural thing. "We found that in general the extreme time pressure is a bad thing for productivity and creativity," said Teresa. If the deadlines are too tight, try to discuss with your boss. If not, you will feel like being chased by a never-ending job.

5. Learning from problems. When experiencing a failure, you will probably be angry at your boss and coworkers. If this happens, do not easily give up. Ponder wisely, and try to figure out what went wrong, and why it could happen. "Coworkers can make sense of 'safe' when discussing the problems on the job. Discuss your failures with them and Pick a lesson from them," said Teresa.
